"Crüniac is nothing if not full of surprises. No sooner had I touched pen to paper in praise of the man than he fell upon one of the captured guards, nearly strangling him to death

An officer of the Legion. His father is the mayor of Shoal. He has political aspirations, and joined the Legion to distinguish himself. -Crüniac Description, Glossary, Myth II Manual

Description[]

Crüniac was the commanding officer of The Legion in the events leading up to the war against Soulblighter. Crüniac was noted for having more interest in political maneuvers then military ones but he has a great level of tactical skill, as demonstrated when he enlisted the help of the Dwarven Pathfinder, Jari, in capturing Keep Kildaer.

He also seemed to have experience in dealing with magic when he broke a mind control enchantment that controlled a human guard.

He was mortally wounded by Soulblighter during The Legion's retreat from the Baron's keep, but not before warning The Legion of the Fallen Lord's return. He also gave Garrick an important book from the Baron's libraries, which turned out to be the journal written by the first narrator during the Great War.

Crüniac was the noble leader of the Legion. He is remembered as politician, diplomat, and fighter. As he lay dying, he recounted that his warriors, the color guard, gave up their lives defending him against Soulblighter. This shows just how much Crüniac was loved by his people and his men.
